Mick Rock (b. 1948 d. 2021) was known famously as “The Man Who Shot The Seventies” and documented the last five decades of rock music, icons, and culture. The Seventies, a golden era of modern music, found Mick perfectly placed at its heart. With instinctive talent, sharp vision, and an unforgettable name, he became a defining figure in rock photography. Born in post-war London, his brilliance led him to Cambridge University, where he earned a degree in Modern Languages. Rock has photographed iconic legends David Bowie, Tina Turner, Dolly Turner and Freddie Mercury.
