THE IBIZA TUBE MAP (2024) BY EMMA SALAHI

“The Ibiza Tube Map (2024 Edition)” is a stylised and fictional metro map of Ibiza made up of colour-coded lines, stations and key destinations. A playful parody artwork with heaps of nostalgia ideal for the ultimate Ibiza lover.

Spread across three travel zones, the map reflects the island in 2024 as well as paying homage to much-loved havens such as the mega club Space in Playa Den Bossa, which closed its doors in 2016, which now features on the map as '“suspended”. Ibicenco destinations and family-run restaurants also feature on the map such as Can Pilot in San Rafael and Cas Pagés in San Carlos. In contrast, the map highlights recently opened establishments such as Jonda and Maine.

A reflection and time capsule of the island in real time for 2024 all restaurants, clubs and shops are positioned on the map.

The creation and design of the map was a labor of love and took over 18 months.

This is Salahi’s debut artwork adapted to fit her vision of the gallery, which has become a viral sensation on social media. The map was inspired by Salahi’s former home of London, and her daily commute around the city before relocating to Ibiza.

This artwork is a Giclée print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Paper in two sizes, A1 and A2. Signed and numbered by the artist.

The A1 size is a Limited Edition of 3 + 1 Artists Proof and screenprinted with gold glittery ink on the “Disco Line” by Jealous London. This size is now sold out

A2 size is a Limited Edition of 50 with few editions still left.

Release date 11th July 2024.
