Wet n’ Wild depicts a colourful, dreamlike narrative inspired by the nostalgic memories of our childhood summers, whilst echoing the electrifying atmosphere of the island of Ibiza through the bright colour palette and playful qualities of the piece. The retro/vintage aesthetic and texture created by the silkscreen process triggers the same feelings of nostalgia in the viewer, encouraging childhood recollection and imagination! The chaotic ensembles of imagery and shapes come together to create a strange and surreal narrative, reflecting the ‘escape from reality’ which the island provides.
