The Cameron Twins British
The Cameron Twins (Abigail & Pheobe Cameron) are a British artist duo celebrated for their vibrant, surreal and playfully subversive practice that fuses childhood nostalgia with contemporary pop culture. Identical twins Abigail and Phebe Cameron work collaboratively across screen-printing, sculpture, casting and installation, creating immersive worlds where innocence and chaos collide.
Their work explores the dualities of memory and identity - joy and unease, order and disorder, sameness and individuality, often drawing upon their shared experiences as twins. Repetition, mirroring and duplication are recurring motifs, reflecting the uncanny symmetry that underpins their relationship and artistic process.
Brightly saturated and unapologetically bold, their aesthetic recalls the garish joy of children’s toys and sugary cereal boxes, yet beneath the surface lies a darker, more psychological narrative about the fragility of youth and the distortion of memory. Found objects, discarded dolls and familiar fragments from childhood are reimagined into dreamlike compositions that sit somewhere between pop art, kitsch, and contemporary surrealism.
The Cameron Twins studied Fine Art before merging their practices into a joint artistic identity. Since graduating, they have exhibited widely across the UK and Europe, including solo exhibitions such as Reimagined Recollections at Leicester Print Workshop and The Lucky Ones at The Troubadour Gallery, London. Their work has also featured in numerous group exhibitions, including Agony + Ecstasy x Atzaro: Summer Exhibition in Ibiza, Spain, XX Part II at The Ivy Club, London, and international shows at Affenfaust Galerie, Hamburg.
In recent years, their output has expanded into collaborations with brands, creative studios and design projects, bridging the worlds of fine art, fashion and popular culture.
Playful, unsettling, and instantly recognisable, The Cameron Twins’ universe invites the viewer to re-enter the dreamlike logic of childhood, but with a knowing, adult awareness of its beauty and absurdity.
